Hi, welcome to Kent Keepers, my name is Alex Pilbeam and I am the Head Coach and founder of Kent Keepers, I am an FA qualified goalkeeping coach and have been CRB and child protection checked.

As a young goalkeeper I often found training sessions lacked any real involvement apart from having shots blasted at me which I found both de-motivating and boring. This trend continued until I was lucky enough to receive professional coaching at a top London Club.

For this reason and a love of goalkeeping I decided to set up Kent Keepers and help young goalies to practice techniques, positioning and goalkeeper related practices so they would feel confident and ready before thier weekend match kicked off.

I proceeded to attain FA coaching qualifications to coach young goalkeepers and will hopefully continue to do so for many years to come.

I have played for various teams over the years and received only minimal coaching, therefore I had to teach myself through trial and error and watching the pro's on TV.

If Kent Keepers was established when I was younger I surely would have joined.
